The limited contact bedding block is designed to contact the action where it needs contact, and not where it doesn’t. Specifically at the pillar/action screws, and the recoil lug. This means that the bedding block will not place the action in a bind if there are any alignment issues and allow the user to not have to bed their action into the stock. Allowing you to move different barreled actions into the stock.

The Bedding Block system features user adjustable pillar heights with a spacers. From factory the block starts at our normal heights are for Hawkins bottom metal. Users can then adjust  +/-.030” in 5 thou increments as needed for bottom metal fitment and magazine feeding.

This bedding block system is set-up to fit into any stock and action for a Remington 700 of custom action clone. You will need to mill your stock to accommodate the bedding block and then epoxy it into place.

Hawkins Precision thread protectors are precision machined in our shop in Colorado Springs, CO. They come in a multitude of sizes to fit your needs and feature a melonite coating. This adds durability and creates lowered friction on muzzle threads, which resists galling. Sizing below:

WHERE TO BUY

Hawkins Precision Action Screws are made in our Colorado Springs facility out of 416 stainless. They feature a T27 Torx head and will withstand more than double the suggested 65-in-lb of torque. These action screws are a few threads longer than factory screws to allow gunsmiths to cut them to an exact length. They come in raw stainless or melonite coating for lowered thread friction and added durability.
